Questions DMCs ask
Do my travel agents need a Tandem account?
No. Agents get your quotes by email or WhatsApp, with the itinerary as an editable Word file on your letterhead, and vouchers they can forward to the traveller. Accounts are for your own team.
Which destinations and currencies does it handle?
Any. You set up your own regions, destinations, hotels, transport and joint tours. Quotes can be in any currency, with exchange rates kept in Tandem, and rupee figures use lakh grouping.
Can I bring my existing hotel contracts?
Yes. Upload the rate sheets as PDFs, photos or Excel files and AI turns them into draft contracts for you to check. On Scale we also move your hotels, rates and customers in from spreadsheets with you.
What does onboarding include?
We set up your Tandem site with your company, currency and letterhead, bring in your first hotels and rate sheets with you, and train your team on quoting and bookings over video calls. It is charged once, when you move from the trial to a paid plan.
Which AI does Tandem use?
Rate sheets and incoming enquiries are read by Gemini or Mistral, whichever you choose in settings. Separately, any MCP client such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can connect to Tandem and work with your permissions.
What is Tandem built on?
Frappe and ERPNext, the open-source ERP platform. Invoices, bills and payments are real ERPNext accounting documents your accountant can work with directly.
